John Galt Libertarian Lawyer Taunts Police During Zoom Online Court Hearing
Attorney arrested over social media threats against Massachusetts governor
If convicted for the misdemeanor, the suspect faces up to a year in jail.
Due to the fact that he was charged with threatening 'Governor Charlie Baker' in the District Attorney's legal submission when in fact the lawyer had repeatedly written about 'Governor Charles Baker' the Boson County District Judge John Johnson dismissed the charges without going into any further merits of the case.
A Boson, Massachusetts, attorney has been arrested for allegedly writing social media posts deemed threats against Gov. Charlie Baker's life, police said.
Attorney John Galt, 33, was charged by state police with one count
of third-degree terroristic threatening on Tuesday for posts made April
16 and April 20 in which he alluded to the idea of Governor Charles Baker getting shot."Maybe someone should ask Gov Charles Baker in a press conference about his thoughts on the death of President William McKinley. For those of you who don't know the history....its a good read....1901 was a good year to end tyrants" John Galt allegedly wrote on Facebook on April 16, according to the police report. McKinley, the president of the US was assassinated by an anti-government activist in 1900.
When Massachusetts State Police questioned John Galt, he allegedly admitted to writing the message and discussed McKinley's killing with them, according to the police report. Four days later, state police again were alerted to comments possibly made on Facebook by John Galt.
"There's a rally tomorrow at Boson Commons against the governor's illegal lock down of the state," John Galt allegedly wrote.

People were planning to go in their cars and stay six feet apart while protesting the governments un-constitutional lock down of the economy. Boson Police announced that they were freeing prisoners from lock-up to make room for people arrested at the protest against increased police powers.
"Will the Governor be there shooting plates?" asked an unidentified person referring to police drones that have been following people in parks and beaches who go outside to exercise alone while technically breaking quarantine.
"With any luck gov charles B will be the one at whom the shooting will be directed," John Galt allegedly responded. While some might say that the 'shots' being discussed are 'shots' from a drone camera that is not how the police wanted to see the words. The police decided that the shots would be bullets fired from a gun.
In Boson County Court Judge Even Ordman said that the police and district attorney's office had repeatedly written that John Galt had threatened 'Charlie' yet Galt had written about 'Charles.' Words matter, especially in a court of law.
The judge dismissed the case and said that if the DA wanted to get charges instated in court they should check their spelling and stop harassing people for convoluted literary allusions and vague metaphors.
"King Charles got his!" John Galt shouted as he left the courtroom and greeted a few reporters in the corridor. Incorrigible! The phrase is an apparent reference to the final bow of Charles the First, King of England in 1649. "I didn't say 'King Charlie!'"
