Another Pleasant Valley Sunday in Thomas Kinkadeland, Boson, Massachusetts

Image
(I had to change the song written by Carole King and made popular in the 1960's by the Monkees.  On Youtube the cover version I found got a copyright claim meaning that a supposed copyright holder could get advertising money by putting banner ads on the slide show I made.  That would ruin the look of the video I made, and mean that I was working for them.  So, I replaced the song with a background track provided by Youtube.)  The local rock group down the street Is trying hard to learn this song To serenade the weekend squire Just came out to mow his lawn Another Pleasant Valley Sunday Charcoal burnin' everywhere Rows of houses that are all the same And no one seems to care See Mrs. Gray she's proud today Because her roses are in bloom And Mr. Green he's so serene He's got a TV in every room Another Pleasant Valley Sunday Here in status symbol land Mothers complain about how hard life is And the kids just don't underst

Life on the Neponset River - Boson Massachusetts - by Mark Twain

Image
Life on the Neponset River (1873) is a memoir by Mark Twain of his days as a punt boater on Neponset River before he moved on to the Mississippi River and working full time on steam ships.  During his Boson, Massachusetts days Mark Twain was mostly staying out of the way of steamships in Boson Harbor and on the Neponset River as far as the dam at Lower Mills. During his travels along the river Twain meets Nathanial Harthorne who takes him along to live for a few weeks at the 'free love' commune at New Merry Mount at the foot of the Eastern Blue Hills.  Twain gives some brief impressions of his stay and falling in love with what seemed like a mystic "Woman in White" who appeared to him as he punted along the river near the utopian colony.   The work is also a travel book , recounting his trip along the Neponset River from the mythical source of the river in the Blue Hills of Dedham through Hyde Park and Canton to Milton and Dorchester's Lower Mills

Boson International Airport Gets Windfall Parking Unsafe Boeing 737 Max Airplanes

Image
Troubles for Boeing mean profits for Boson International Airport    Shares in aerospace giant Boeing fell by almost six percent following reports that regulators plan to keep the company's fleet of troubled 737 MAX airplanes grounded until June or July, months later than originally expected.    Trading was temporarily halted following the stock plunge. Boeing stock was down 3.3 percent on Wednesday at $313.37 per share, its lowest level in a year. Boeing’s largest suppliers, General Electric and Spirit AeroSystems, were also down, by 1.2 percent and 3.8 percent respectively.  The company's best-selling planes have now been grounded for 11 months. The worldwide grounding saw airlines lose more than $1 billion in revenue, and Boeing more than $7 billion. The company, which took a $5.6 billion pretax charge in July to compensate airlines and other customers for the grounding, is to report full-year and fourth-quarter earnings on January

"I think Bernie Sanders is an anti-semite  who opposes the Israeli government.  Is Sanders really Jewish?  What kind of a Jewish name is Sanders?  How did he get a New York Brooklyn Jewish accent after decades and decades of living in lily white Vermont?  I think it is time for Senator Sanders, who is my friend, to take a DNA test to alleviate the fears of Jewish people across America."  Senator Warren refused to take questions after making the statement saying, "My name has been smeared enough by these baseless counterattacks accusing me of being a liar.  Women should be believed."

Global Warming Reaches the Sun - 2020 The Lowest Solar Activity In Over 200 Years - Scientists Outraged (Boson Green News) 16 Jan 2020

2020: The Lowest Solar Activity In Over 200 Years - Humanity's Scars Spread to The Center of the Solar System  (Boson Green News) As we move further into 2020, solar activity dwindles.  This year, solar activity will be marked as the lowest in over 200 years. The low in the sun’s 11-year cycle will also have at least some repercussions for the climate here on Earth.  This means that we all have to learn to live with less, to consume less, and to help put high taxes on wasteful expenditures.  On December 20, 2019, Iceland received one of the largest snow storms in its history. The so-called “10-year storm,” brought winds of 100 miles per hour (161 km/h), with one weather station reporting gusts of up to 149 mph (240 km/h), according to a report by Interesting Engineering.  Iceland’s, Europe’s and North America’s weather have historically been tied to the sunspot activity of the Sun. According to NASA , in 2020, the Sun, which is currently in solar c

Boson City Clerk Refuses Marriage License to 'Foreigners' From New Mexico and the District of Columbia - "Go to your own country" - 15 Jan 2020

Boson, MASS (UPI) A couple standing in line to pay $10 for a Marriage License presented their US drivers licenses at the Registry of Marriages, Births, and Deaths in the Boson City Hall complex.  The clerk looked at their ID's and said that they were not Americans.  "I'm from New Mexico, Santa Fe, I've never left the United States in my whole life," the woman explained to the clerk as he looked skeptically at her drivers license on the counter in front of him.  "I don't care what part of Mexico you are from, new or old, The soon to be groom, Thomas Alexander, was familiar with problems with his license from Washington DC which has been a part of the United States of America since there has been a United States of America.  Not to long ago, while in a stadium in New Jersey, he had been denied beer at a football game.  The people selling the brew could only accept US drivers licenses and he was told to produce his Colombian international passport.

East Blue Hills Cat Litter Miners Block Railroad Demanding Back Pay - 15 Jan 2020

Image
Boson, MASS: Once again the East Blue Hills United Mine Workers of America are involved in a labor dispute.  Workers claim that they have not received paychecks or direct deposits since 16 December 2019.  The Cat-Litter Company spokesman said, "the checks in the mail," when reached by this reporter.  There has been no disruption to the supply of cat litter to Boson retail outlets because there are so many companies that sell so many different styles of cat litter.  Cats, of course, don't know anything about the dispute.  Green Party Boson leader Rebecca Sunnybrooke has called for an end to all mining in Massachusetts, whether for coal or for cat litter.  The Animal Rights wing has pointed out that cat litter is 'strip mined' and all 'strip mining' is wrong and harmful to the Earth.  Sodium Bentonite is one of the most popular constituents of clump cat litter. Mining bentonite makes business sense only when it is found close to the surface of

Police Set Up Checkpoints To Spot People Violating The Plastic Bag Ban - Support Your Local Plastic Bag Police State? (Boson Workers) 10 Jan 2020

Image
"Support Your Local Plastic Bag Police State?" Boson MASS: Police are manning roadblocks and making random stops on the street to 'help protect the Earth' by enforcing the city's new executive order by Mayor Welsh prohibiting the distribution of 'free' plastic bags by retailers.  In a little noted aspect of the law the manufacture, distribution, possession, or ownership of single use plastic bags was outlawed.  The fine is a whopping $100 a bag, and jail time for the tenth violation.  There is no grandfathering in of bags people had at home.  The police have increased powers to stop cars, stop people on the street, go into peoples back yards to inspect their garbage cans, and even go into a home or business for random spot checks.  All in the name of austerity to save the planet Earth.  Even thinking that this is not effective is considered a 'thought crime' that contributes to global climate change.  Yes, what you think influences t

Boson Mayor Welsh Stuns City By Banning Plastic Bags Through Executive Order - Central Theme of Democratic City Councilor Strickland's Mayoral Campaign Gone - 10 Jan 2020

Image
Boson Mayor Martin J. Welsh did an end run around his main opponent in this years mayoral contest by banning 'single use' plastic bags given away at retail stores, supermarkets and other businesses.  This has become a big issue in this years presidential race with former Vice-president Joe Biden coming right out and saying he would ban plastic bags in all fifty states no matter what the local people voted for.  When asked what the laid off plastic bag industry workers should do for work Biden answered promptly, "learn to code!" Actually there should be just as much work and plenty of profits for the plastic bag industry.  In Ireland after plastic bags for free at the check out counter were banned the sale of plastic bags rose 800%.  People still needed the carrying devices in their daily life, so just as many bags were leaving the stores, but now people had to pay for them. In the City of Boson retailers and supermarkets can still offer customers free brown
