(AP) Boson City Council's Democrat Party majority passed a motion condemning the winning 'sand sculpture' in the annual North Wollaston Beach competition.
"Again the focus is on what the 'white person' is feeling. President Lincoln is depicted as if he is troubled by events in front of him," a visibly angry City Council President Ema Strickland said. "What about what Black people are feeling? Black feelings matter!"
When asked by this reporter if she had seen the impressive sand work Councilor Strickland shook her head. "No, I do not go out in the sunlight because I am sun sensitive and wish to avoid skin cancer and other problems." She added, "I did see photos on the city council's Zoom meeting. I was outraged."
"I don't like the salty air," she said ending the Skype connection.
