East Blue Hills: Group Camping Out In Woods Just Happy To Be Released From Boson County Jail Due to COVIDaster


 Boson MASS---Acknowledging that getting the chance to relax in nature was its own reward, a group of longtime friends camping out in the woods confirmed Wednesday that they were just happy to escape the daily grind of Boson County Jail. 


“It sounds like the simplest thing in the world, but it’s unbelievably nice to sit by the Candle Holder Pond and think your own thoughts for an afternoon without the rigid structure of jail life,” said convict Jesse Howell, who like his friends claimed that sitting against a tree feeling the breeze in his hair was a nice change from the rat race of roll call, meals, and 15 minutes in the exercise yard. 

“My pals and I have been planning a trip like this for five to seven months, so it’s nice to finally kick back and bask in the beauty of the natural world. Just look at all these stars—you can’t even see them back at The Boson Town House, as we like to call the jail, what with the light pollution and the 12 inches of reinforced concrete.” Howell added that despite their efforts to stay “off the grid,” their respite would probably only last a few more days before they were called back to address mundane concerns.

"We were let out because of COVID-19, or more precisely because they wanted to make room for the COVID-19 lockdown violators," he added.  "We had to promise to go back to finish our sentences when it was all back to normal."   

Since the prisoners were released there have been reports of prison gang graffiti on the East Blue Hill Wall that once divided Boson from the town of Milton to the north.  The released prisoners said they "had no idea" who would do such a thing in their territory.  

The offending graffiti has been painted over, so, we have no idea what they wrote.

Jack Rabbits Overrun Half Moon Island - Reach Mainland Gardens in Quincy and Boson

Jack rabbits overrun  After Animal Rights activists and volunteers helped bring wild Jackrabbits to Half Moon Island in Quincy Bay the animals began to proliferate.  Almost every island in Boston Harbor now has numbers of the hungry rabbits.  Nearby in Quincy and Boson the rabbits are eating there way through peoples gardens and even lawns.   . Boson County Fair had a treat when Senator Elizabeth Warren, who is running for president in 2020, took to the stage in a good-natured  song number poking fun at her cultural appropriation of Native American Indian identity to get a job at Harvard Law School as the "First Woman of Color" despite being a blonde blue-eyed European.  "I'm an Indian Too" is a song from the 1946 musical Annie Get Your Gun , by Irving Berlin .
