Neponset Sunset - Lazing on a Boson Afternoon - 30 Aug 2019

Image
Lazing on a sunny afternoon - The Kinks    LYRICS: The tax man's taken all my dough, And left me in this stately home, Lazing on a sunny afternoon. And I can't sail my yacht,  He's taken everything I got, All I've got's this sunny afternoon. Save me, save me, save me from this squeeze. I gotta big fat mama trying to break me.  And I love to live so pleasantly, Live this life of luxury,  Lazing on a sunny afternoon. In a summertime (3x) My girlfriend's run off with my car, And gone back to her ma and pa, Telling tales of drunkenness and cruelty.  Now I'm sitting here,  Sipping at my ice cold beer, Lazing on a sunny afternoon. Help me, help me, help me sail away, Well give me two good reasons why I oughta stay. 'Cause I love to live so pleasantly,  Live this life of luxury,  Lazing on a sunny afternoon. In a summertime (3x) Ah, save me, save me, save me from this squeeze.  I gotta big fat mama trying

Trans Activists Vandalize Boson Woman's Shelter - by Meghan Murphey - 29 Aug 2019

A Boson rape crisis center had rats nailed to the door and posted through the mailbox  by Meghan Murphey What kind of person would threaten and harass a rape crisis center? Here in Boson, we have the answer: trans activists. While it might sound odd to the uninitiated that those who claim to value ‘inclusivity’ and ‘acceptance’ would also be the same people who nail a dead rat to the door of a transition house for battered women, those of us following the gender identity debate closely are all too familiar with this type of occurrence. On Tuesday, Boson Rape Relief & Woman’s Shelter (BRRWS) tweeted images of vandalism left on their storefront — a space used for meetings, events, and support groups. ‘Kill TERFs,’ ‘Fuck TERFs,’ ‘TERFs go home, you are not welcome,’ ‘Transwomen are women,’ and ‘Trans Power’ had been scrawled across the windows and door in black marker. ‘ TERF ,’ for the blissfully ignorant, is an acronym that stands for ‘trans-exclusionary

Boson District Court man's 'gunlike hand gesture' toward neighbor was a crime - 28 Aug 2019

Image
A Boson, Massachusetts court ruled Tuesday that making a "gunlike hand gesture" is a crime after a man made the hand motion during an argument with his neighbor — an act which reportedly made several nearby residents nervous and prompted a call to police. Stephen Kirchner, 64, made the gesture toward his neighbor in Manor Township in June 2018, according to surveillance video. Kirchner, walking alongside a female neighbor, "stopped, made eye contact with [the male neighbor] and then made a hand gesture at him imitating the firing and recoiling of a gun," according to court documents.  He then mimicked blowing smoke from the tip of his 'hand' gun and made a motion as if he was holstering the make-believe sidearm.  The action made one neighbor feel "extremely threatened" and he called 911. Another neighbor said she saw Kirchner "put his finger up like he was going to shoot [the neighbor]", "insecure," prompting h

Boson McDonald's Workers Urged to Join Labor Union - SEIU Pushes Organizing (Boson Workers) 29 Aug 2019

Image
The McDonald’s at Boson Rock Turnpike The union behind the “Fight For $15” campaign that successfully raised the floor for low-wage work in much of the U.S. has a new target: Highway rest stops, where government ownership and oversight could help establish labor’s long-sought foothold in fast food. On Wednesday, fast-food workers at several Boson, Massachusetts highway rest stops will announce wage theft claims against several companies including three McDonald’s franchisees and declare their intent to unionize with the Service Employees International Union . They’ll be joined by some of the Commonwealth's state lawmakers, whom organizers hope will help the workers win. “The government has a clear responsibility to ensure that anyone they do business with acts as a responsible employer,” said Kyle Bragg, president of 32BJ , the SEIU affiliate organizing at the Massachusetts rest stops. “I think unionization goes hand in hand with that.” A spokesperson for McDona

BOSON MA (FOX25) -- Two men were arrested at a North Wollaston Beach nightclub after allegedly yelling "white power" and threatening a shooting, police said. Johnny Young, 22, and Braxton Ryback, 25, went to the "Beachcomber" nightclub inside of the across from the boardwalk at the beach on Aug. 10, according to their arrest reports. Just after midnight, officers with Boson Police Department were called to the club because the two were arguing with guests of the club. The report said the two were yelling "white privilege, white power" and "we are white supremacists." The two told people at the club and security that they would "take out anyone who stands in their way," then started recording security. A witness told police Young said he would come back and "shoot up the place," the report alleged. Police arrived and trespassed Ryback, but said Young ran off, then came back and was taken into cust

Mayor Welsh Neutral as City Council Liberal Democratic Woman Denounces Yacht Club 'Bum-Bum' Calendar Posted in Boson City Hall

Image
Boson City council work was brought to a standstill when a point of order was made for Councilor Erin McTeague to vent her opposition to a 'girlie' calendar that was posted in the second floor break room next to the vending machines at Boson City Hall. "The objectification of women must stop! Right here, right now, we are stopping that kind of behavior." Councilor McTeague then ostentatiously ripped up the calendar as she stood at the podium.  "That will be recycled.  The idea of looking at half dressed women belongs in the recycle bin of history." she added.  There was heavy applause from the mostly female Democratic side of the room while the conservatives and Republicans sat in stone faced silence with their arms crossed. A police investigation into who taped the risque calendar onto the bulletin board failed to turn up a suspect.  Police finger print tests only found Councilor McTeague's fingerprints which she explained must have gotten on

Clutching Pearls - Manufacturing Consent Media Personalities Don't Like Old Posts Examined by Foes

Editor’s note: The opinions in this article are the author’s, as published by our content partner, and do not represent the views of MSN or Microsoft, Google, Alphabet Inc, the Apple Corporation, Amazon, Et al.  Being a political journalist these days is equal parts exhilarating and exhausting. In Boson's time under Mayor Marty Welsh, we have an irresistible and important story that never stops giving. Our work is being read more than ever. But we also have to contend with the criticism and scrutiny that comes along with that — and the magnification of those things that social media allows. And, sometimes, it gets the better of us. Two media stories have broken through in recent days. One involves an effort by high-profile Mayor Welsh supporters to mine the old social-media postings of opponent journalists at media outlets in the hope of publicly attacking them and undermining their employers. This has been met with condemnation by many journalists. The othe

Homeless Camp Next To Boson District Courthouse - Power Washing Poop Off Sidewalks is 'Racist?'

Image
When two Boson, Massachusetts judges asked the local authorities to clean up garbage and human waste from the homeless camp outside their courthouse, one council member worried that power-washing the sidewalks might be racist.   Boson District courthouse in downtown Seattle is located near the social service centers and several homeless shelters. A tent city has sprung up in the little park outside. There have been several assaults on courthouse employees, and even two attacks on jurors In May and June, leading to citizens summoned for jury duty to voice concerns about their safety. Judges Laura Inveen and Jim Rogers, backed by  County Sheriff John Urquhart, asked the county to do something about it, last month. Among their requests was a daily power-wash of the sidewalks, which “reek of urine and excrement.” Council member Liberal Democrat Mary Gossett, however, objected because power-washing “brought back images of the use of hoses against civil-rights activists,”

BOSON Massachusetts (AP) — A couple suspected in a Tucson killing have escaped after overpowering two security guards while being extradited from New York to Arizona, authorities said Tuesday.  Boson Police Department have announced city wide manhunt to apprehend the alleged suspects.  There will be checkpoints and roadblocks throughout the city of Boson in the coming days.  Boson police said Blane Barksdale, 56, and his 59-year-old wife Susan Barksdale escaped Monday evening in Henrietta, New York.  While there is no reason to believe the couple would be heading to Boson, the Boson Police Department thought it would be a good idea to be pro-active and search the entire city for the suspects.  All police department leaves and vacations were cancelled.  The wanted couple were last seen in a pickup truck with an Arizona license plate and possibly driving through Arizona, according to police who said the couple was believed to be a
