Mayor Welsh Drops Pants on Boson City Hall Lawn - Liberal Democrats Call for Impeachment (UPI) 28 Sept 2019
Liberal City Councilor Elizabeth Dolezal has filled a formal complaint with the Massachusetts Commission Against Discrimination claiming that Boson's Republican Mayor Martin J. Welsh dropped his pants and made a 'wold whistle' at her when she was unlocking her bicycle from the bike rack in front of Boson City Hall.
"Nice rack!" Councilor Dolezal claims the mayor shouted in her direction as she put her bike lock in her backpack.
"I ride a bicycle to city hall everyday to help fight global warming," the visibly agitated Councilor Dolezal said, "and Mayor Welsh taunts me saying that I am breathing out carbon dioxide and causing global warming. This is an outrage."
The final straw came for the councilor, who is against straws, when she says Mayor Welsh dropped his trousers on Saturday afternoon after an emergency city council meeting called to praise environmental activist Greta Thunberg for her heroic voyage across the Atlantic Ocean in a $15,000,000 yacht.
The mayor said that Greta Thunberg had failed to mention that her green carbon-neutral vessel had a back up diesel engine. "I was down at the wharf were G. Thunberg's yacht was docked waiting for the return crew flying in from Sweden to sail the luxury craft back across the Atlantic," Mayor Welsh said in the city council chambers. "I saw the boat being loaded with diesel fuel. Do you eco-hysterics ever check anything?"
After the hearing Mayor Welsh was on the lawn and said loudly, "All this global warming and climate change makes me hot, I think I'll take my pants off," according to Councilor Dolezal's sworn statement.
Others have pointed out that the photo supplied from Councilor Dolezal's phone appeared to be a hastily altered 'photo-shopped' image.
The Republican male members of the city council voted against the motion.
The Republican's introduced a motion that simply read: "Here we go again."
When asked why the removal of the mayor can't wait till the election so the voters can decide, Councilor Strickland replied, "The voters are often ignorant red-necks and crackers from the poorer parts of town who are feminophobic. We must remove the mayor by any means necessary. Justice can't wait for elections!"
As the sun set in the West over the Eastern Blue Hills Mayor Welsh crossed the City Hall lawn toward the parking lot and his SUV laughing audibly and mumbling something about "Cat woman."
