Boson Man Dies After Drinking Fish Tank Cleaner to Stop COVID-19 - "This death is on Mayor Welsh's hands" Says Councilor Strickland

Boson, MASS - A local man has died after consuming a substance used to clean aquariums – but is also found in a drug the US president and Boson Mayor Welsh said could treat Covid-19 – prompting the media and local Democrats to hop aboard the Trump blame train, details be damned.  Mayor Welsh is a passionate Trump supporter. 
The Boson-area man and his wife – who survived – ingested a form of chloroquine used as a fish tank cleaner on Monday, reportedly after hearing President Trump mention the chemical on TV, and seeing Mayor Martin Welsh on the city's local cable access channel repeat the message.   Though the substance is similar to one used in an anti-malaria drug touted as a possible treatment for the coronavirus, the aquarium additive comes in a different form and is highly toxic to humans.

But that hasn’t stopped a spate of media outlets like the Boson Globe and Boson Sunday Express from casting blame on the president, insisting he encouraged the couple to guzzle down a lethal dose of a dangerous drug.

One mayoral aide spoke candidly off the record, "From The Boson Phoenix, to a local NPR affiliate – which falsely claimed the man had taken a “malaria medication” – to The Boson Globe and beyond, much of the local press corps rushed to place the tragedy squarely on Mayor Welsh’s shoulders." 

She pointed out the problem with that framing, however, shredding the news agencies for running with a “dishonest” narrative.

"While the president and Mayor Welsh did suggest the anti-malarial had “very encouraging early results” in treating Covid-19," she noted it would still have to undergo clinical trials. At no point did either man recommend anyone self-administer the drug outside the care of a doctor, and certainly never called for the consumption of any form of fish tank cleaner, as many pointed out on social media."

“BREAKING FROM The Boson Globe! Do NOT ingest FISH TANK CLEANER,”wrote one former Welsh staffer on Twitter. 



City Council President and mayoral candidate Ema Strickland, who is openly gay, says that the mayor should be charged with 'dereliction of duty' and possibly 'man slaughter' for encouraging people to take unapproved medicines.

"We simply can not wait until November's elections," a visibly angry Councilor Strickland said.  "Both of these men must be removed from office now!"

If President Trump is removed from office Vice President Pence will become president, and if Mayor Welsh is removed from city hall Councilor Ema Strickland will become mayor.

Jack rabbits overrun  After Animal Rights activists and volunteers helped bring wild Jackrabbits to Half Moon Island in Quincy Bay the animals began to proliferate.  Almost every island in Boston Harbor now has numbers of the hungry rabbits.  Nearby in Quincy and Boson the rabbits are eating there way through peoples gardens and even lawns.   .
