'Support Your Local Police State!' Boson Mayor Welsh Urges Calm After Black Lives Matter Protest Occupies Southeast Expressway

Boson MASS - Mayor Welsh has urged people to be calm and to realize that the Boson Police Department has nothing to do with the street execution of a black man in Minnesota after street protests by Black Lives Matter move onto the Southeast Expressway I93 on Wednesday afternoon, 27 May 2020.

From his basement video studio where the mayor is currently under semi-quarantine he spoke with this reporter about the evolving situation.

"This happened thousands of miles away from our city," the mayor said.  "I don't think our area should be punished for the murderous activity of an out of control police officer in another state."

Obey or Die!

The protesters in Boson gathered on the Commons and were peaceful and unarmed.  But as the crowd grew in size police moved in to urge protesters to practice 'social distancing.'

Some began to throw plastic water bottles and rocks at the heavily armed police in riot gear.

Many police expressed frustration pointing out that they had been living a 'policeman's paradise' for the last two months where they could simply walk up to anyone on the street and order them back to their homes.  Civil liberties have disappeared and civil rights suspended.

This reporter asked the man burning an upside down flag, "Why are you setting the flag on fire?"

"I am setting my flag on fire, not 'the flag,'" he responded.  "I bought this flag and can do what I want with it.  The 'flag' is a symbol.  I am exercising symbolic speech, which the US Supreme Court has ruled is within the bounds of 'free speech' and freedom of expression.  The police killed that man in the street as an expression of their message to the lower classes to obey or die.  This is a message back to the police.  Beware of the thing that is coming."
