East Blue Hills 'Magic Bus' Removed - Tiresome Tourists Wearing Out Rescue Crews (WNPR) 19 June 2020

After numerous rescue missions to help wayward novice woodsmen and woodswomen in the East Blue Hills Reservation the Massachusetts State Police have used a helicopter to lift an abandoned school bus out of the woods.

The bus was used by a hapless homeless person who lived in the bus and kept a diary as he drank himself to death during the winter of 2002.

When spring came and the body was discovered by a hiker and the diary was sent to the dead man's family and a novelist used the entries to craft a complete book about living in the woods and drinking.  The original book was called "Two Months in the Woods" to echo the Henry David Thoreau work "Two Years In The Woods."

Robin Williams was then featured in the movie "Shouting at the Trees" which spread the story around the world and made drinking in the woods 'a thing.'   Soon people from many countries were coming to Massachusetts to visit the 'Magic Bus.'   More tourists and hikers visited the bus than visited Thoreau's cabin in Lexington, Massachusetts at Walden Pond.  Thoreau's replica home is easily accessible with a public beach and parking lot nearby.  The difficulty of reaching the 'Magic Bus' deep in the woods was part of the appeal for many people.

For many wearing a plaid shirt they wore for a 'selfie' was a crowning achievement and validated their existence.

A few 'Buser Magi' said they would never wash that shirt again.

But, sadly, farce turned into tragedy when one woman from the Czech Republic fell in the Neponset River while with her groom on the way to the 'Magic Bus' to be married.  She was wearing her wedding dress, which was ruined.  She went back to the Boson Trump Tower to change.  Her would be husband had sexual intercourse with one of the bridesmaids and the wedding was called off.

A rescue team was dispatched to the scene after the would be bride had left.  The groom and bridesmaid were spotted in the bushes and arrested for 'public fornication.'

After all the drama surrounding the wayward bus East Blue Hills Park Rangers decided to remove the bus and place it in on the grounds of UMass Boson along with all the hideous modern art sculptures that look like debris.  Sadly, the bus was set on fire during the arson spree across the city in the first weeks of June 2020.

Bizarrely the burnt out hulk remains on display as the UMass Fine Art Department  has labeled the wreck a Monument to the Struggle Against Racism.  Tourists are again planning to visit the 'Magic Bus' for weddings, picnics, and Friday night drinking sessions.  UMass Boson's campus store is stocking plaid shirts because of increased demand.
