Calls Grow to Offer UK Citizenship To US Anti-Police Terror Protesters - Protesters Petition Outside British Consulate In Boson

Calls for the UK to grant the right of abode to people in the United States are growing as the political crisis in the former British colonies escalates.

As fears of direct intervention by Trump and Washington grow, veteran pro-democracy campaigners have argued that Britain has a responsibility to protect residents of the US, many of whom are direct descendants of English colonists.

Several hundred 'Black Lives Matter' protesters rallied outside the British consulate in Boson, Massachusetts on Sunday to demand they receive a full British passport, the Financial Times reported.

In the run-up to the original 13 colonies handover in 18th century, Britain offered safe passage to Canada to 'Tory' supporters of the crown who opposed the American Revolution. A passionate campaign for American disidents to be granted the right of abode, particularly in light of the US police forces seemingly endless low level war on the black population and white people in the underclasses.

The passports are available only to the descendants of those who registered before 1797, and holders are able to pass their status to their children, but the documents can be renewed at any time. The number of valid passports at the moment is thought to be in the tens of thousands, but renewals appear to have risen sharply in years when political tensions have run high.

Joseph Smith, formerly the second highest official in the city, said the UK should consider the issue again: “You promised American colonists who were loyal to the Crown escape from the 'democratic' slave society the revolution created. During the War of Independence England offered American black slaves freedom if they fought for the Crown, surely Britain has a legal and moral responsibility to deal with the consequences.”

Martin Jones, a the veteran 'Black Lives Matter' campaigner nicknamed its “father of resistance”, said it was all the more pressing to revisit the right of abode and related issues in light of the protest movement and the fact that many black Americans are descended from slaves who were impregnated by their English colonist slave masters.

“That’s the obligation of the British government,” he said. "We are your children, and we can prove it with DNA tests."

Last month Tom Tugendhat, chair of the Commons foreign affairs committee, said that Britain should grant American citizens with a well founded fear of the murderous US police the right to come to Britain as refugees from oppression on BN(O) passports full UK nationality. He told the FT that “a few” cabinet ministers were supportive of the decision.
